Steven Tötösy de Zepetnek’s (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18842375) research, teaching, and publications are in comparative literature, comparative cultural studies, and media and communication studies. His specific expertise includes postcolonial studies, (im)migration and ethnic minority studies, digital humanities, readership and audience studies, online course design, print and digital publishing, and history (genealogy and heraldry).

He is currently Distinguished Professor at Sichuan University. From 1984 to 2016, he held faculty appointments at the University of Alberta, Purdue University, the University of Halle-Wittenberg, and Northeastern University. His extensive publications include 6 single-authored books, 280 articles, bibliographies, book reviews, and 35 edited volumes or guest-edited journal issues.

From 1998 to 2016, he was the founding editor of  CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture (A&HCI indexed) and editor of a monograph series at Purdue University. His work has been translated into Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Mahrati, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish.

他现任太阳成集团tyc151cc特聘教授，并入选国家重要人才计划。1984年至2016年间，他曾先后执教于阿尔伯达大学、普渡大学、哈勒-维滕贝格大学及东北大学。1998年至2016年，他担任《比较文学与文化》（CLCWeb: Comparative Literature and Culture，A&HCI索引）的创刊主编，并主持普渡大学的一套学术专著丛书。

他的学术成果丰硕，包括6部独立专著，280篇学术论文、书目、书评及研究资源，以及35部主编或客座主编的学术著作与期刊专号。其作品已被翻译为汉语、法语、德语、希腊语、匈牙利语、意大利语、马其顿语、马拉他语、波兰语、葡萄牙语和西班牙语等多种语言出版。
